Hello WNPS families! We’re thrilled to share some heartwarming updates from our recent Pawsitive Difference Campaign! 💛
📸 Homeless Paws: Check out the adorable pack of black puppies who were rescued from unsafe conditions. Thanks to your support, they’re now safe, recovering, and beginning to thrive!
📸 Sunshine State Animal Rescue: Meet Ms. V, Rion, and Abner—three happy recipients of your generous donations. Their tails were wagging with joy!
Your kindness made a real impact, and both the animals and the amazing humans who care for them were SO APPRECIATIVE! 😊
Thank you again for being part of this meaningful community project. Let’s keep spreading the love and making a difference—one paw at a time! 🐶🐾💕

The most anticipated day of the year will be here tomorrow… WATER DAY!
Here are some quick reminders:
-Students should come to school with their bathing suit and appropriate cover ups on.
*For boys, this could be their swim trunks and a t-shirt.
*For girls, this could be their bathing suit under shorts and a t-shirt or a dress.
-Flip flops, sandals, Crocs, etc. can be worn tomorrow, since students will not have their normal PE routine.
-All students should bring a towel and dry clothes to change into.
-If you want your child to wear sunscreen, please apply it at home, as WNP teachers and staff cannot supply or apply sunscreen to students.
-Most students will go outside for water day during their normally scheduled PE time. A few classes will go at a different time to accommodate lunch and dismissal times. Your child's teacher can tell you what time their class is going out.
-Please note, this is a student only event.

Happy School Principal Day to our fearless leader, Mrs. Blalock!
She leads with heart, puts students first, and never stops advocating for our teachers and staff. Her compassion, high expectations, and unwavering support make West Navarre Primary a better place every single day.
Thank you, Mrs. Blalock, for your dedication, leadership, and love for our school. We are so grateful for you!

We are thrilled to share that West Navarre Primary has a new website (same web address) as does SRCDS!

Splish Splash Water Slide Bash!
WNP's PTO is planning an unforgettable day of excitement! We're bringing out the fun with inflatable water slides, jumpers, and cool pops to get you ready for summer!
To ensure your child can dive right in, please sign and return a waiver by May 9. This waiver is necessary for your child to participate in all the water-filled fun.
Please have your child wear their bathing suit under their clothes and bring a towel and change of clothes. Also, please apply sunscreen/SPF to your child, as school policy prohibits teachers and staff from supplying or applying sunscreen/SPF to students.
This event will take place during your child's scheduled PE time on Friday, May 16.
Due to the fast paced schedule for Water Day, this event is closed to parents.
We appreciate your understanding!

Friday, May 2 is School Lunch Hero Day
Remind your child to thank our wonderful School Lunch Heroes and all they do to provide breakfast and lunch daily here at West Navarre Primary School.

For the month of April, we have an awesome opportunity to help support some community groups within our feeder school areas!
With warm weather and busy family schedules approaching, the number of pets surrendered increases this time of year significantly. We have the ability to help alleviate some of the financial and supply strain of this within our area!
As a school-wide effort, we will gather donation items for two local, animal support/fostering groups within Navarre (Sunshine State Animal Rescue) and Gulf Breeze (Homeless Paws of FL). The attached picture has all of the great details on how we, our students, and their families can help!
We will be collecting donation items in boxes in the cafeteria for the entire month. As the boxes become full, we will deliver the donated items to their respective locations.
This isn't a contest, but a collective opportunity to bring to life to our students the great feeling of helping make a "Pawsitive Difference" within our communities! Please join in helping to spread the word to help make this an overwhelmingly successful community campaign!

The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is a progress monitoring system that is administered three times per year to track your student’s progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout this school year. The results from PM3 will show how well your student has mastered the grade level content standards, and your school will provide information about how to access the results.
FAST assessments are computer-adaptive tests taken on a computer or tablet. The questions get easier or more difficult depending on how the student responds, and each student will see different questions. If you or your student would like to review sample test items at home, visit https://flfast.org/families.html.
For this test administration, the school district has set specific dates for each grade level to complete their tests. The schedule is below.
The Star Early Literacy assessment typically takes less than 15 minutes to complete. The Star Reading assessment is usually completed in less than 20 minutes, and the Star Math assessment typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete.
For more information about the Florida Statewide Assessments program, please visit the portal at FLFAST.org.
Thank you for supporting your student and encouraging him or her to do his or her best during this test administration.

-If you arrive before 7:35, please park at the church so our staff can enter the parking lot.

-Students should sit on the right side of the vehicle and be ready to exit.
