PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT: "Senior Assassin" Game

 The Senior Assassin trend may seem like harmless fun, but it is creating serious safety concerns for law enforcement agencies.

 The game includes incidents such as:

♦          Individuals wearing masks and hiding around homes and neighborhoods

♦     People chasing others with realistic-looking water guns

♦          Suspicious activity reports, especially late at night or early morning

From a distance, these situations can look like real criminal activity. Responding deputies do not know it's a game -  they must treat every call as a potential armed threat.

Why this is dangerous:

•   Realistic toy guns can be mistaken for actual firearms

•   Players hiding or running can trigger emergency responses

•   You may be stopped at gunpoint for everyone's safety

•   Entering private property could lead to trespassing charges

•  In worst-case scenarios, this could have deadly consequences

Our message to students and parents:

This is not just a game when it impacts public safety. We urge families to have conversations about the risks and to make responsible choices.
